Casablanca (Morality in Movies individual lesson)

Scripture has much to share with us regarding charity. Christ gives us the Great Commandment to love or be charitable to one another, including our enemies. What exactly does charity look like? How can we be charitable to those who we may not particularly like? The film Casablanca shows us many examples of characters showing charity toward one another in big and small ways, both to those who are their friends and those who they may consider enemies. In this lesson, we will explore the Church's teachings on charity and where we see examples of that in Casablanca.
